Big Band Ribe was founded in 1989 as “The smallest Big Band in Ribe”. Back then there was only eight members but today the name has changed and we are a full-blown big band with 19 members – four screaming trumpets, four handsome trombones, five jazzy saxophones, a groovy rhythm section, a very strict conductor and our very own crooner: Terkel Michelsen.

Our repertoire is classic big band music with roots in the Basie and Sinatra tradition – but we play latin, blues, rock and gospel as well.
